This game is a long-burn incremental where you earn knowledge (Da'at) through the practice of actively writing Biblical Hebrew letters and vocabulary then convert that into FIRE to light the world map. The game supports mouse and stylus inputs for computer and finger for mobile.

The game organizes vocabulary based on commonality in the Biblical Hebrew corpus, so it is primed to help with anyone fresh to the language as well as holding a longer tail which includes attestations down to fewer than 25 occurrences in the Hebrew Bible.

BACKGROUND:

Currently under development by a PhD student at Cambridge whose Masters was in Biblical Hebrew translation theory. Built with the desire to have something to continue engaging with the Hebrew language in addition to regular Bible reading and to make some of the tedious memorization tasks more engaging. Flashcards suck after all (even if they can be quite effective). Looking for any and all feedback on the project as I continue to build it out.

AI Disclosure: Claude code is responsible for helping write the GDscript for Godot and run some of the math for balancing knowledge generation and spending but the concept, design layout, writing, judgment setup, and artwork is mine, excepting the map which was drawn by my best friend for my own fantasy world.
